Political Islam’s false sense of Triumphalism

Surah Al-Maidah Ayat 48 states:

“And unto thee have We revealed the Scripture with the truth, confirming whatever Scripture was before it, and a watcher over it. So judge between them by that which Allah hath revealed, and follow not their desires away from the truth which hath come unto thee. For each We have appointed a divine law and a traced-out way. Had Allah willed He could have made you one community. But that He may try you by that which He hath given you (He hath made you as ye are). So vie one with another in good works. Unto Allah ye will all return, and He will then inform you of that wherein ye differ.”

In other words, if one is looking for exegetical analysis or tafseer, this ayat of the Quran is suggesting the context thusly:

The anthropomorphic divine being is saying that Quran as scripture is truth and it confirms all scriptures before it. All people, every nation has been given their own shariah, deen and mazhab with a watcher over it. You Muslims cannot question the way and the divine law of others. If the divine being wanted, he could have made everyone a single community, as in Muslims, but he did not. He is testing you. Don’t fail him. Don’t try to convert others to Islam for if that was the plan, he would have done it himself. Leave everyone alone and let them be. Only engage each other in good deeds. When you return he will tell you why he did it all this way.
