Bigotry Redux

leave a comment »

“If this god you speak of is just an anthropomorphic divine being who ‘speaks’ just one language, is ‘interested’ in the affairs of humans alone and is ‘prefrential’ to certain humans, then this god is also a bigot.” – jLaLi FaqeeR

“Bigotry and its various manifestations such as ethnic, tribal, racial, sexual, religious, cultural, societal, national and civilizational are like pathogenic bacteria. They need human hosts to propagate themselves and will readily attack those with a low immune system.” – jLaLi FaqeeR

“For us malamati sufis, the sacred and the sacrilege have always been the same. For us faqeers, the profound and the profane have always been the same.” – jLaLi FaqeeR

Human Struggle

“All humans are the same. All human struggles are the same. All humans feel hunger and struggle for this need. When the needs of the many are suppressed by the wants of the few, struggles become wars.” – jLaLi FaqeeR

Revelation

“Revelation is nothing more than expression of divine inspiration. All sentient beings are capable of divine inspiration. Religion may not be the cause or consequence of it.” – jLaLi FaqeeR

Nature Endures

leave a comment »

“Nature endures. Nature endures through balance in the cycles of life and manifests these cycles through seasons in brief moments and climate over extended periods of time. Man in his selfishness is trying to impose an unnatural balance and nature is trying to hint that what is not natural is not sustainable. Man shrugs his shoulders and walks. The day nature shrugs its shoulders, man will have no shoulders left to shrug. Nature will endure long after man is gone.” – jLaLi FaqeeR

Religion of peace

leave a comment »

Is Islam a religion of peace?
Of course not.
It hates freedom, democratic values and the taste of apple pie.
Is Christianity a religion of peace?
Of course.
Ask the Native Americans.
Is Hinduism a religion of peace?
Of course.
Ask the lost souls who were extinguished after the destruction of Babri Masjid

“The first peace, which is the most important, is that which comes from within the souls of men when they realize their relationship, their oneness, with the universe and all its powers, and when they realize that at the center of the universe dwells Wakan-Tanka, and that this center is really everywhere, it is within each of us. This is the real peace, and the others are but reflections of this. The second peace is that which is made between two individuals and the third is that which is made between two nations. But above all you should understand that there can never be peace between nations until there is first known that true peace which is within the souls of men.” – Black Elk
